The Entrepreneurial Journey Continues - One Day at a Time

Written By: Karoline Comiskey Olsen, June 6th 2024

One year ago, I was beyond scared to go all in with Stay Satisfied. I just paid $110,000 for a degree at age 23-25 with only 1.5 years of work experience. My original plan was more work experience before I started my venture. But I could not wait...

I wake up almost every day with this huge drive to motivate others. To help others feel better. Although I do believe in an individualized approach to leadership, I have found that most people respond well to LOVE. Many are already pressuring themselves too much and when you SEE them, the fact that they are trying and help them find their way --- wow, the output they produce. Building a team from scratch scares me because I have never done it before, but it is THE #1 reason I want to start a business.

Over the last year I am proud to say that I managed on $500 per month (and I eat a lot) up until February 2024. I grew my online running coaching business that is now generating enough income for me to pay rent++. I have posted 7+ reels every single week for over 1 year. I started a YouTube channel and am posting every week. I am sponsored by Dexa Body (Vo2 Max testing, dexa scan and RMR test), LSKD, Prehab, the Acupuncture Athlete, Chill N Out, Inside Tracker, Thorne, True Wild. I hired our COO, Anna, as well as two Social Media interns and Rachelle, our Social Media Manager. My Instagram following is now at 7000+, but most importantly I am building a community all over the world. The skills that I am learning on this journey are priceless. To highlight ONE, the ability to execute on a highly ambitious dream and with little money.

I have finally cracked the code on my marathon journey and am beyond excited to win some more marathons. You are probably thinking how are you balancing all these things? Is it not better to focus on one thing at the time? No. The thing about everything I am doing is the synergy between them all. That is why I am doing them ALL. They all work together and one day I will look back and think: ALL OF THEM TOGETHER is what makes what I am doing unique. THAT is the competitive advantage we all know a business needs to succeed. My whole life has prepared me to juggle many things simultaneously. Life will continue to add to your to-do list and it is not the list that is the problem. It is your ability to prioritize the right things at the right time. Not to mention your ability to manage your stress.

Excited for my second year post-MBA and all that the future will bring 😀
