My Story: I Was You

I ran my first marathon in 2019 in 3:05 and won. Just 7 months later, I ran a 2:46. From the outside, it looked perfect. But inside? I was constantly injured - six stress fractures in a row.

Why? Because my determination was working against me. I pushed harder, chased paces, ignored recovery… and my body broke down.

Everything changed when I switched to heart rate training & time on feet. I stopped trying to run as fast as possible on every session. I stopped chasing numbers. I started building smart, consistent volume - 110–140 km per week injury-free - and my results followed:

I’ve been privileged to learn from Norway’s best running coaches. I’ve coached over 50 athletes through their first 5K, 10K, half, and full marathons. And now, I’m obsessed with helping hardworking runners like you train smarter — so your drive finally pays off.

Do I need to be experienced to use these plans?

No - I’ve coached beginners through their first 5K all the way to sub-3:00 marathons. The structure adapts to you.

Are the 5K and 10K plans for elite runners?

Not exactly. These plans are designed for runners who are newer to structured training and want to build a strong foundation before moving up in distance. They focus on smart volume, consistency, and sustainable intensity.

If you’re already an experienced runner with a strong background, you’ll benefit more from either:

  • A Level 3–4 Half Marathon or Marathon plan (for higher mileage and intensity), or
  • 1:1 Coaching, where we can create a personalized plan that directly targets your weaknesses and goals.

How long are the plans?

10–16 weeks depending on your distance.

What if I can’t run 5 days a week?

That’s why there are levels. Start where you are, and build up over time.

Do I need a special watch?

Any watch that tracks heart rate works - though more accuracy (like chest strap or Garmin) helps.
